Question 1

What hair extension methods does Luxe Aura Hair offer and how do I know which one is right for me?

Accepted Answer

We offer six professional hair extension methods: Microlink extensions, K-Tip keratin bond extensions, Tape-In extensions, Natural Beaded Rows, Brazilian Knots, and traditional sew-in weaves. Each method is suited to different hair types, lifestyles, and goals. Microlinks are ideal for fine or fragile hair because they involve no heat or adhesive. K-Tip extensions work beautifully for almost any hair type and deliver natural individual movement. Tape-ins offer fast application and a flat, seamless finish. Natural Beaded Rows are ideal for maximum volume and fullness, while Brazilian Knots are durable and work across textures, including curly and natural hair. During a free consultation, our specialists assess your hair's density, condition, and goals before recommending the most suitable method.

Question 2

What makes Luxe Aura Hair different from other extension salons in NYC?

Accepted Answer

Every extension we install uses 100% human Slavic hair ethically sourced from Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe. Slavic hair is naturally fine in strand diameter, allowing it to blend seamlessly with many hair types. Its cuticle remains intact and aligned, helping the hair retain its shine, resist tangling, and maintain its quality across multiple application cycles. We carry more than 100 colors in stock, allowing us to provide expert color matching and same-day installations without waiting for hair to be ordered.

Question 3

Do you offer hair extensions for people with hair loss, thinning hair, or those recovering from chemotherapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We specialize in hair extensions for clients experiencing hair loss caused by chemotherapy, alopecia, postpartum shedding, hormonal thinning, and damage from chemical or heat styling. We regularly work with post-chemotherapy clients who have approximately three to four inches of regrowth. For clients with fine or thinning hair, we select lightweight, low-tension methods that add density without placing unnecessary stress on fragile strands. Every hair loss consultation is free, private, unhurried, and handled with sensitivity.

Question 4

Is Luxe Aura Hair welcoming to transgender and non-binary clients?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luxe Aura Hair welcomes transgender, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and crossdressing clients. Our team understands hair concerns that may include hairline patterns, hormonal changes in hair density or texture, and the need for a natural-looking and versatile result. Our semi-private studio provides a private and unhurried appointment environment, and every client is treated respectfully and professionally throughout their visit.

Question 5

Do you offer hair services beyond extensions, and can I get everything done in one visit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luxe Aura Hair is a full-service salon offering Balayage, full and partial highlights, full-head color, single-process color, Keratin treatments, Brazilian Blowouts, Olaplex treatments, toner, relaxers, and grey coverage in addition to six hair extension methods. Clients can combine extension installation with color or treatment services during one appointment to create a blended result from root to tip. Same-day service is available every day, subject to appointment availability.

Question 6

Do you offer hair replacement services for men, and how does the non-surgical system work?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We offer non-surgical hair replacement systems for men experiencing mild thinning through more significant hair loss. The system uses 100% real virgin human hair attached to a lightweight, skin-like base that mimics the appearance of the scalp. It is custom-fitted, positioned over the hair loss area, and styled to blend with the client's existing hair. The system can be washed and styled like natural hair and generally requires a retightening appointment every six to eight weeks. There is no surgery, recovery period, or permanent commitment.
